Lucy Spencer

Lucy Spencer earned her BFA from the University of Georgia and her MFA from UNC-Greensboro. Her medium is oils, and she has shown widely in North Carolina since 1975, as well as up and down the East Coast. Her work is in many private and corporate collections, including R. J. Reynolds, Duke University, and the Weatherspoon Gallery.

Through the years she has also taught elementary school art in Guilford and Forsyth counties and owned and operated the Ark Gallery in her home in Greensboro. She is retired from teaching and lives in Clemmons with her horses, dogs, and cats, where she paints, rides, and gardens. She currently shows at Artworks and at the Fat Cat Gallery in Oak Ridge and annually at the Winter show at Green Hill Gallery in Greensboro.
