Watercolors by
Alix Hitchcock & Beverly Noyes

Alix Hitchcock presents large ink and watercolor works on paper that elude to time-shifting, watery environments, and floating memories. The pieces often have one or two figures in silhouette that are falling, dancing, or caught in a suspended moment, surrounded by plant shadows or abstract strips of color.

Ms. Hitchcock teaches drawing at Wake Forest University. She received her MA in painting from New York University in 1983 and her BFA from the Univ. of NC at Greensboro in 1973.

Beverly Noyes focuses on various human states of mind and depicts these states through transparent abstract watercolors.

Ms.Noyes received her MFA from the University of NC at Greensboro, NC in 1987 and her BS in Art Education from St.Cloud State University, Minnesota, in 1964.
